Mileage Logbook 3.0.1 Is Live: CarPlay Fixes and other improvements
It’s been a while since our last blog post because we’ve been busy behind the scenes. The latest version of our app is now live on the App Store, bringing a number of improvements and refinements to make everyday mileage tracking smoother and more reliable.
We also owe you an explanation for the gap between releases. We went nine months without a new version. That’s a long time, and we understand that the silence may have made it seem as though the app was no longer being worked on. It was, and we’re sorry we didn’t do a better job of keeping you informed.
Before we get into what’s new in this release, we have some news to share:
Mileage Logbook now has more than 250k active users. We’re proud to have reached that number, and we want to thank everyone who has used the app and helped it get this far.
What have we been working on?
We completely rebuilt our journey tracking SDK, which Mileage Logbook uses to track journeys, and tested it on the road across a wide range of vehicles and everyday driving conditions. This was a substantial piece of work and one of the main changes in this release. Work like this takes time. We test every update in real driving conditions before it goes out.
This release also fixes tracking issues related to Bluetooth and CarPlay connections. If you’ve had trouble tracking journeys while your phone was connected to your car, this update addresses those problems. Getting those connections working properly was a key part of the work.
Here are the main changes in version 3.0.1:
- We have completely rebuilt the way journey tracking works.
- We have improved Bluetooth reliability and fixed connection issues.
- We have added CarPlay connection detection.
- We have refreshed the app design to make it clearer and easier to use.
- We have fixed smaller reported issues, including screen and interface bugs.
Your feedback matters
Let us know how your journeys are going with the update, especially if you’ve had trouble with Bluetooth or CarPlay before. If anything still isn’t working as it should, we’d like to hear about it.
